Mindy Kaling and Jennifer Lawrence Get Their SPANX On

Last week, celebs were abuzz about SPANX. Two of Hollywood’s hottest leading ladies dished about (and in) their SPANX.

First, in an interview with New York Magazine’s pop culture blog, Vulture, Mindy Kalling talked about her new Fox series, The Mindy Project, and surprised the reporter by conducting part of the interview in her SPANX…

“Are you okay that I’m in my SPANX?” Kaling asks on a balmy Saturday afternoon. I have walked into a fitting in her living room — for Emmys dresses and Mindy press appearances — to find her clad only in nude thigh-to-chest shapewear, a black strapless bra, and towering platform stilettos. The question is meant to protect my modesty, not hers.

Next, Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence sat down with W Magazine for the October issue, in which she talks about her 2010 Oscar Nomination and the chaos surrounding the award show.

After filming X-Men, you went straight into Oscar madness. Did you have fun at the Academy Awards?
It’s an honor and an overwhelming compliment, but it’s also a kind of bizarre thing. All of a sudden you’re at these parties and everybody’s famous, and you feel like a loser. By the time of the actual Oscars, I was so sick of fittings and trains and corsets and people asking “What are you going to wear?” I had to go on a diet, because at all the parties there’s champagne and hors d’oeuvres. I ate so much! I think I wore two Spanx on the night of the awards.
